Our Projects

We are building a database of quantification tools and resources to map what exists, identify gaps, and provide targeted support for future standards development.

We are creating a framework for jurisdiction-level monitoring of carbon removal via enhanced weathering on agricultural lands, building on existing methodologies from academic research and voluntary carbon market crediting programs.

We are working with DAC and lifecycle analysis experts to understand how different jurisdictions quantify carbon intensity of energy use in DAC methodologies and policies and, therefore, how they define a ton of net removal.

To focus our efforts on the most impactful policy opportunities and the biggest gaps in regulatory standards, we are mapping current and upcoming CDR policies to appropriate quantification standards (if they exist).

We’re studying how standards development happened in other emerging technology areas, in and beyond climate tech, to learn from past successes and failures and inform our strategy going forward.
