Enhanced Weathering and Agricultural Policy

We are creating a framework to integrate enhanced weathering in a range of agricultural policies, including soil pH subsidies, backed by appropriate quantification standards and tools.

How it works

Details

Enhanced Weathering and Working Lands explores opportunities for integrating carbon removal into agricultural subsidies using the Find-Match-Measure framework. By mapping research and deployment needs onto existing policy vehicles, this work contributes to the foundation for embedding enhanced weathering within policy. Funders

This work was primarily supported by our general operating funds. Advocates for Climate Innovation funded our 2024 workshop on aggregated monitoring.

Partners

Dr. Tim Jesper Suhrhoff (Yale University) is our primary technical partner on our aggregated monitoring research and was lead author on the academic preprint.
